Natural Skin Lightening Facial Treatments

Using harsh chemicals and exfoliate to lighten your complexion may just irritate and harm your skin. Orange-PeelsOrange Peels

Orange peels are one of the best natural skin bleachers out there. It lightens dark spots and skin blemishes. It also helps get rid of blackheads and whiteheads when applied on the affected areas. When paired with another bleaching agent, its skin lightening benefits are amplified.

Just gather some orange peels and place them under the sun until they are dry and crisp. Grind them into powder form in the food processor. Mix 1 tablespoon of the orange peel powder and 1 tablespoon of milk or yogurt to form a mixture. Apply on your face and any other desired area for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. Do this daily for best results.

Tomato-PasteTomato Paste

Because potatoes contain natural bleaching properties, it is also one of the most effective skin lightening treatments. Just mash a tomato into a pulp and mix it with yogurt. Apply the mixture on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes before washing off with warm water. Alternatively, you can dip a tomato slice in sugar and apply it on your face as a skin lightening scrub.

Almond-PasteAlmond Paste

Soak some almonds in a bowl full of water for 8-10 hours (best to do this overnight so you don’t have to wait.) After this, peel the almonds and pound them into pulp. Once consistent, add ½ teaspoon of honey and ½ teaspoon of milk to make a paste. Apply the mixture on your face and let it dry before rinsing with warm water. The almonds and milk have gentle bleaching properties while the honey has cleansing and moisturizing benefits for the skin. Combined, these ingredients will make your skin glowing and whiter all over!

Papaya-PastePapaya Paste

In tropical countries where most of the people are tanned, papaya is the most popular skin lightening solution. Just blend some papaya slices with milk or yogurt, or you can use the fruit alone. Massage the mixture on your skin and leave it on for at least 20 minutes before washing off with cool water. You can use papaya on your skin daily or every other day for best results.

Lemon-JuiceLemon Juice

The citric acid in lemon juice is a natural astringent and bleaching agent. It can be used to lighten dark spots, freckles, and ugly patches on your skin. It also tightens your skin to make you look younger. To use, just mix 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice with ½ teaspoon each of honey and milk. Apply on your face and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with water afterwards.
